OUR TEAM
Without our dedicated staff, we would not be able to provide the high quality of service that we strive for. A dynamic group of dreamers and doers committed to building better, brighter communities through entrepreneurship, members of the Rising Tide Capital team share the common goal of changing lives through economic empowerment.
Jamie Rudolph Senior Consultant
In order for Rising Tide Capital to realize its long-term vision of creating jobs and economic opportunity in low-income communities across America, it requires a growing stream of revenue that enables the organization to innovate and expand. Ninety percent of this revenue comes from private foundations, government agencies, and corporate partners who recognize the importance of Rising Tide’s work and support it through grant funding.
As Grants Director, Jamie oversees proposal development and post-award stewardship for Rising Tide Capital’s portfolio of foundation, corporate and government grants, and works to align grants management and revenue planning with the short- and long-term strategic goals of the organization.
Jamie brings to Rising Tide Capital two decades of experience across a range of industries, including higher education, healthcare, financial services and economic development. He most recently worked as the Managing Assistant Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs at New Jersey City University, where over the course of five years he co-authored several winning proposals including a $32 million grant in 2013 for a new Science Building and $5.2 million in 2016 toward a Nursing Education Center. It was at NJCU, one of Rising Tide Capital’s key community partners, that Jamie met Alfa and Alex and learned of Rising Tide’s mission to alleviate poverty and promote economic revitalization through entrepreneurship.
A 2014 Lead NJ Fellow, Jamie has formerly served as a Trustee of the Ethical Community Charter School, stakeholder representative for the Partnership for a Healthier Jersey City, and marketing committee chair for the Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution Educators. He graduated from the SUNY College at Oswego with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy. When he is not helping the Rising Tide team transform communities, you’ll find him running, reading in the park, obsessing over Hamilton or coaching his daughter’s soccer team.
