Sanmary Palacios Senior Program Coordinator, Community Business Academy, Spanish
Sanmary Palacios was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Economy from Central University of Venezuela. Having also completed post-graduate, advanced coursework in Business Finance, she worked for 3 years as a Budget Specialist and managed the budget of Todoticket, a social benefits administrator. Sanmary also acquired substantial entrepreneurship experience as co-owner and operator of a successful pizzeria named “Trebol Pizzas SRL” for 2 years. Due to the deteriorating socio-political climate of Venezuela, she made the courageous decision to move to the United States 4 years ago for fear of political retaliation against her family.
Sanmary is passionate about helping people transform their lives and driving them to believe in and give the best of themselves. Upon graduating Rising Tide Capital’s Community Business Academy in 2018, she began to work with Rising Tide providing marketing and outreach services and expertise, playing a pivotal role in the recruitment of new students for the Spanish Community Business Academy. As a class monitor, she has assisted in the coordination and operation of classes, students, and instructors. As a credit counselor, Sanmary also assists students and graduates to establish and improve their credit scores by teaching and helping to implement credit improvement strategies.
She is the mother of two daughters, and they are her greatest motivation and inspiration. She is very grateful for all the opportunities that this country has given her family. She loves to read, travel, and make new friends.
