I have always loved to paint, draw, and make things, and took up screen printing as a hobby after coming up with a design I wanted to see on a shirt. After attending a national trade show and learning about the imprinted apparel industry, I realized I could turn my hobby into a business.

Realizing that there were very few companies who were concerned about the environmental and health hazards of the inks and dyes used in daily garments, I decided to start Triple Green to provide consumers with superior quality, printed apparel that raises awareness for environmental sustainability.

I attended Rising Tide Capital’s 12-week Community Business Academy, which helped equip me with the practical knowledge I needed to successfully manage my business.

The CBA has been invaluable to my business, but RTC’s work goes above and beyond that. Whether it is through an invitation to a workshop or connecting me to a business opportunity, RTC staff is always looking out for my business’ success.

They’ve connected me to networking and vending opportunities with other graduates and beyond. They helped us secure a crowd-funded loan through Kiva Zip and valuable one-on-one business coaching.
